Major Website Enhancements
Recently there have been requests for more detailed network information in the retailer website. Featured FAQ - Driving Traffic to my Site
I'm working on building more traffic to our site. Other than pay per click, could you recommend any of the "DRIVE TRAFFIC GURUS" advertising they can perform miracles like driving thousands of visitors for $100? I'm trying one now and see the increase in traffic however not one sale yet. Could it be a scam?
ANSWER: Although the service might be valid it is very likely a scam. A common practice with these services is to use a robot program to click on your website to drive "phantom" visitors and this program may be installed on multiple machines and IP addresses. The pattern can often be picked up with specially designed tracking software such as Decentrix NetAnalytix, which can determine the pattern of site visitors and their IP addresses. Robots commonly only click on a single page and leave the site. They also often have a consistent click behavior that may be even throughout the day. Real visitors have a cyclical pattern across the day that is not an even traffic flow. A good measure of validity is the price you pay for leads. In the satellite space it is highly unlikely to find valid lead generation companies that charge as little as "1,000s of visitors for $100".
