January 2005 Newsletter
Welcome to the January 2005 Decentrix eNewsletter!
DISH Network has announced many changes that affect your Decentrix Website. As a result, we have been hard at work with site revisions. Here are some of the major changes that will appear prior to February 1, 2005 on your DISH Network site:
General Changes
- Flash:
The flash ad at the top of your site has been revised with a new fresh look. - Banners:
The banners on the left side have been refreshed and updated - Call to Action:
An Order Now button in close proximity with your company phone number has been added to the home page, giving a stronger call to action for site visitors. - "Want us to call you?":
This new feature, that we added last month, has been enhanced by the addition of an email entry and a note that explains this is for "new subscribers only". - DHA and FFA promotions:
We have updated these promotions on the site. - Terms and Conditions:
We have added promotion T&Cs to the home page as a link to a pop-up window. - Ordering Flow:
We have removed a page in the ordering process thus streamlining the visitor experience. - New HDTV Promotion:
We have added the new 6 months free HDTV promotion. - Alaska/Hawaii:
We have added both Alaska and Hawaii offer details and order forms. - Sirius Radio:
We have added an introduction and PDF channel lineup. - Intranet Login:
In the past you had to go to www.dishontheweb.com to login to see your orders or edit your website. You can still do this; however, you can now login right from your own website. - DISH Price Increases:
The programming pricing on your site will reflect the February 1 increases. - AT180 Test Drive:
We have added the America's Top 180 Test drive promotion to your website. - Value Pak rebate:
We have added the DISH Network Value Pack rebate to the website.
Online Order Form changes
- Credit Card Security:
You can optionally require that the three-digit security number listed on the back of the credit card be entered on the order form. This may be a requirement of your credit card processor. - Social Security Numbers:
You can optionally choose to ask your customer for their social security number. This is required for virtual certificate (VC) orders so it is already on the VC order form for those that use it. - Subscriber Email Address:
You can now choose to make the email address a required field on the order form. The email field has always been on the form, but you can now make it mandatory if you like. - Immediate Credit Card Charging on Website:
If you have automatic credit card processing set-up on your website, you can now, optionally choose to charge the customer's credit card as soon as they enter their information on your website. Keep in mind, if you enable this feature, you may be susceptible to chargeback's by your credit card processor. If the customer clicks on the submit order button, then does not complete the order or does not have the system installed, you will have to refund the charge or the consumer may initiate a dispute which may result in a chargeback assessed by your merchant account. - International Programming Selections:
All order forms now have the entire list of international programming options from which the new subscriber may choose. - Order Form Scaling:
Although your website has always scaled, the actual order form did not. Now the form also scales to fill the screen size of your site visitor. - Receiver Feature Selection:
We have added radio buttons that allow new subscribers to select the features they want with a receiver such as Video-on-Demand and High Definition programming. - Qualified Programming Options:
We have included a pop-up that shows the programming options necessary to qualify for Digital Home Advantage. - System Descriptions:
These have been improved and updated. - Secured Order Form:
We have provided a clear description of the data encryption of the buyer's information.
If you would like to add any of the optional enhancements to your order form, simply write to support@decentrix.com (don't forget to include your name, phone number and company ID on any support requests!).
